MC1472030 introduces Writing blocks, a dedicated editing surface inside Copilot for emails, memos, announcements, reports and other longer-form drafts. Users create, review and iteratively refine content in a structured workspace instead of regenerating a new response each time. General Availability (Worldwide) began mid-September 2026 and is expected to complete by late September 2026. No admin action is required.
Why it matters: the regenerate-and-copy loop is the standing complaint in Copilot drafting workshops, and this removes it without leaving chat.

MC1472029: code, charts, diagrams and similar visual outputs now preview directly inside the Copilot conversation instead of opening the separate side-by-side code canvas. Existing Copilot workflows and prompts continue to work. General Availability (Worldwide) began mid-September 2026 and is expected to complete by late September 2026. No admin action is required.
Why it matters: any internal training material or demo script that shows the code canvas is out of date and needs a refresh this month.

Roadmap 561325, updated 2026-09-15 and now listed as Launched: a day-level Copilot adoption Power BI report reflecting the most recent Copilot activity rather than a lagging aggregate. Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), web, with a stated GA date of September CY2026 and a preview date of July CY2026.
Why it matters: monthly-granularity adoption data cannot show whether a specific enablement session moved usage, and day-level data can.

Roadmap 480725, updated 2026-09-15 and now listed as Rolling out: tracks how often a SharePoint document, news post or page is referenced in a Copilot or AI agent response, with insights aggregated at site level. Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), web, stated GA date August CY2026.
Why it matters: this is the first hard measure of which intranet content Copilot actually grounds on, which turns content cleanup from guesswork into a ranked list.

Roadmap 530577 was marked Cancelled on 2026-09-15, with the entry stating it "is no longer accurate and will be removed from the roadmap". It had promised Copilot Chat and enterprise Search directly inside Chrome, with a stated GA date of April CY2026.
Why it matters: customers standardized on Chrome were told a first-party Copilot extension was coming, and that commitment is now withdrawn with no replacement named.

Roadmap 571299, updated 2026-09-15: typing in the Teams search bar will offer an Ask Copilot option alongside search results, and the results page can turn a query into a Copilot conversation with follow-ups. In development, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), Android and iOS, stated GA date October CY2026.
Why it matters: mobile is where frontline and travelling users hit Teams search, and that search has no path into Copilot today.

Roadmap 570438 (web) and 570437 (Windows desktop), both updated 2026-09-15: users can leave PowerPoint, switch devices, go offline or end the workday and still be notified when the PowerPoint Agent completes its work or needs attention. In development, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), stated GA date October CY2026 on both platforms.
Why it matters: long-running agent work is only useful if the result finds the user later, which is the gap between a demo and a workflow people keep using.

Roadmap 566703, updated 2026-09-15: one search box on the Edge Copilot new tab page covering search, chat and web exploration, with Copilot-suggested actions and curated work content. In development, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), web, stated GA date October CY2026 and preview date September CY2026.
Why it matters: it puts tenant work content on the default new tab page, so Edge for Business policy becomes a Copilot rollout dependency rather than a browser detail.
