Exchange Online EWS changes start landing between October 2026 and April 2027. Two scenarios hit on-premises customers: hybrid organizations with mailboxes both on-premises and online must move rich coexistence lookups such as free/busy and MailTips to Graph, which requires at least the May 2026 update for Exchange SE because only Exchange SE can use Graph for this; and two Exchange Online organizations sharing free/busy through org relationships move to Cross-Tenant Access Policy. Two Exchange on-premises organizations using org relationships with each other need no change at this time. On-premises mailboxes with archive mailboxes in Exchange Online are not fully supported yet, with support expected in following months.
